How acetaminophen
works
Acetaminophen relives pain and reduces fever by acting mainly in the brain to help block pain signals, although its exact mechanism is not fully understood.
How ibuprofen
works
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation by blocking certain enzymes involved in the body’s pain and inflammation response.
A unique combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen
Optimized Dosing
A fixed-dose oral combination (FDC) of 325 mg acetaminophen and 97.5 mg ibuprofen per tablet, offering up to 3900 mg acetaminophen and 1170 mg ibuprofen per day, bioequivalent to the recommended daily maximum of each individual active.8
Synergistic Ratio
Clinical studies have demonstrated a synergistic effect when a unique 3.3:1 ratio is used. As the ratio decreases (i.e. an increase of ibuprofen relative to acetaminophen) the apparent synergistic effect is weakened or lost.1,2
